How you will contribute

As a Tax Notice Specialist on our team, you will provide support to our clients of payroll taxes that we remit on their behalf. Your in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local processes and regulations will provide world class service to our clients. You will bring value every day with having a voice to enhance processes and avoid discrepancies with tax agencies. You will be able to make a difference with timely and accurate resolution of tax agency notices.

  • Proficiency with common practices on resolving tax discrepancies from beginning to end.
  • Maintain timely and accurate resolution of tax agency notices.
  • Familiarity of federal, state, and local tax return and payment submission.
  • Strategize with peers and leadership on root cause of notices and processing filings.
  • Anticipate problems, plan task, execute the solution by ensuring our customers are receiving world class service.
  • Responsible to maintain clients tax setup of third-party, account numbers, unemployment rates, disbursement methods and withholding frequencies.
  • Validate and evaluate request from clients and internal partners to assign workflow/volume based on request.


    Qualifications 

    • 2+ years of payroll tax payment or filing experience.
    • Experience with multi-state and multi-client payroll taxes. Payroll Service Bureau (SBO) experience makes you a strong prospect.
    • Your expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
    • An ability to communicate with your team, agencies, and clients for notice resolution.
    • Previous payroll technology skills, including advanced MS Excel, payroll software systems (Evolution Payroll software preferred, but not required), or even better payroll tax software systems.
    • A High School Diploma or GED. Advanced education in accounting, business administration or other relevant coursework a plus.


    Compensation

    The base hourly range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00, based on relevant experience, skills, and industry knowledge.
