Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the client's UK Sustainability Strategy and associated implementation roadmap.
- Coordinate sustainability and social value initiatives across multiple business functions, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
- Develop high-quality sustainability communications, presentations, reports, briefing packs and awareness materials.
- Plan, organise and facilitate sustainability meetings, workshops and engagement events.
- Maintain sustainability action trackers, governance documentation and project status reports.
- Coordinate Sustainability Networks, ambassador programmes and employee engagement communities.
- Support the planning and delivery of Social Value programmes, employee volunteering initiatives and community engagement activities.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder engagement plans, ensuring effective collaboration between operational teams and central sustainability functions.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or blockers, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Create and maintain sustainability documentation, knowledge repositories and document management systems.
- Support the development and deployment of sustainability awareness campaigns and training programmes.
- Produce meeting minutes, action logs and governance reporting to support programme delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sustainability processes, communication and collaboration across the organisation.
- Support compliance with sustainability objectives and contribute to the successful delivery of corporate ESG commitments.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Engineering, Business Management or a related discipline.
- Previous experience working within Sustainability, ESG, Environmental Management, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Social Value programmes.
- Experience coordinating projects or working within Project Management or PMO environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple business functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience producing reports, presentations and communication materials.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
- Experience managing documentation, reporting and project governance activities.
