Overview
Kimley-Horn is seeking a Party Chief to join the Orange office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Perform medium-scale field surveys for ALTA, engineering design, topographic, and boundary purposes while serving as Party Chief.
- Safely operate a motor vehicle and travel to project sites as required to conduct field survey activities and support project delivery.
- Prepare field notes and sketches; perform pre-calculations, download field data, and process conventional and GPS survey data using Star*Net software.
- Research boundary and easement title documents and perform boundary analysis.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D software to prepare subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and other survey-related exhibits and deliverables.
- Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for rights-of-way, easements, acquisition parcels, and other land-related documents.
Qualifications
- Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) Certification and/or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) Certification desired
- Bachelors in a surveying or engineering curriculum
- Experience utilizing GPS RTK and static data collection
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Salary Range:$90,000 to $110,000
