About this role
The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day electrical installation activities at site, ensuring work is carried out safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Site Supervision
- Supervise electrical installation works including LV/HV systems, lighting, power distribution, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.
- Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Guide and monitor site electricians, technicians, and helpers.
- Report daily progress and issues to Senior Site Engineer / Project Engineer.
Technical Support
- Review and understand electrical drawings, layouts, and technical instructions.
- Assist in resolving on-site technical issues and provide practical solutions.
- Ensure proper testing and commissioning of electrical systems under guidance.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with other MEP trades to avoid clashes and delays.
- Maintain communication with the Senior Site Engineer regarding work progress, challenges, and resource needs.
Planning & Material Control
- Ensure availability of materials and tools for daily electrical activities.
- Monitor proper usage of materials and minimize wastage.
- Assist in manpower allocation and task assignments.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Enforce compliance with HSE policies and safe work practices at site.
- Conduct safety briefings for site team under supervision of Senior Engineer.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily work reports, site diaries, and material usage logs.
- Assist in preparation of inspection requests (IRs), test reports, and handover documents.
