Job Summary
You will combine Workday integration expertise with proven application delivery, with particular emphasis on building Extend solutions that solve specific business problems.
● Build, test, deploy, and support Workday Extend applications from discovery through production launch, addressing real People Systems needs such as employee self-service, workflow enablement, data quality, or operational efficiency.
● Translate business requirements into user-friendly Extend experiences and maintainable solutions, covering user experience, business logic, data access, Workday APIs, security, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management.
● Demonstrate the value of delivered Extend applications by tracking outcomes such as adoption, reduced manual effort, faster processing, improved data quality, or better user experience, then improve solutions using feedback and operational evidence.
● Design, configure, test, deploy, and support Workday integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Payroll Effective Change Interface (PECI), Payroll Interface Common Output File (PICOF), Workday Web Services, REST or SOAP APIs, and Reporting as a Service (RaaS).
● Partner with People, Business, Technology, Security, Data, and vendor teams to clarify requirements, map worker and organisational data, plan testing, support user acceptance testing, and prepare reliable cutovers.
● Investigate and resolve integration and application issues across Workday configuration, business processes, data transformations, security, middleware, and downstream platforms, with appropriate monitoring and reconciliation.
● Use artificial intelligence tools and emerging technologies to research options, improve productivity, analyse problems, strengthen documentation, and identify practical workflow improvements.
Key Responsibilities
The strongest candidates will show both Workday integration depth and evidence that they have delivered Extend applications that users adopted and the business found valuable.
● You will have 5 or more years of experience in HR technology, HRIS, or enterprise integrations, including at least 3 years of hands-on Workday integration experience.
● You will have hands-on experience building and launching at least two production Workday Extend applications that solve a clearly defined business or operational need. You should be able to explain the problem, your contribution, the users served, the launch, the outcome, and how the application was supported after release.
● You will have practical knowledge of Workday Extend application design, user experience, business logic, data access, Workday APIs, security, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management.
● You will have hands-on experience with relevant Workday integration technologies such as Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, PECI, PICOF, Workday Web Services, REST or SOAP APIs, or RaaS. JD
