Administration and Planning | TTM Campus Area Bus-JMProvides bus, shuttle, and para-transit service to the University community; operates 15-53 passenger buses, over-the-road buses, paratransit, and shuttles; washes, cleans, fuels, and prepares vehicles for trips; drives routes; loads and unloads luggage and equipment; works on an as needed basis.
As a Student Bus Driver, you will join a team of knowledgeable and professional student and full-time drivers who provide safe, reliable and friendly transportation to the campus community.
Paid Training
Student Bus Drivers receive high-quality paid, in-class and on-the-road training. At the end of the training program, trainees will have the skills necessary to pass the State of Ohio, Class B - Commercial Driver License (CDL) test.
Competitive Wages
Earn up to $19/hour.
Student Bus Driver pay starts at $16.00/hour. While in the driver training program, you will also work on the evening Student Service Crew and will be responsible for basic maintenance, such as checking and adding fluids, fueling, changing lights and general cleaning.
Once a Student Bus Driver obtains a Class B CDL, the rate of pay increases to $19.00/hour.
Non-CDL positions are also available for individuals who are interested in driving smaller vehicles.
A variety of advancement opportunities are available, including Student Operations Supervisor and Student Trainer.
Flexible Scheduling
Campus Area Bus Service operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, allowing for flexibility when scheduling work shifts. Student shifts vary in length and time of day and are designed to work around the most common class schedules. Weekend and overnight shifts also are available. TTM would like student employees to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
