About this role

About the Role

We're a small group of engineers, designers, and product folks building at the intersection of conversational AI and domain expertise. Making an AI agent sound human-like is hard. Making an AI an expert in a domain is also hard. We're doing both together. Our product is Vaya - an AI-powered Vedic astrology app used by millions.

This role is inspired by Greg (https://blog.samaltman.com/greg), Matt Cohler at the Facebook, Shakil Kahn at Spotify. Every legendary company had an early operator who became mission critical by making problems disappear and getting things done.

You’ll be working as an IC who does everything to make sure that the founders can work on the product - ESOPS, ops, legal, accounting, ops, admin, HR etc. alongside building teams by sourcing talent, assist in maintaining investor and stakeholder relations by way of effective communication.

What you’ll do

  1. Source & develop talent and build teams by determining objective requirements for the role, defining success metrics, interview coordination and candidate experience

  2. Manage investor and stakeholder relations through quick effective communication

  3. Track funnel performance and internal goals, identify bottle necks by analysing the right data

  4. Close the loop on everything - legal, accounting, HR. Followup with candidates, vendors, contractors etc.

  5. Learn new domains effectively and quickly to contribute wherever required while setting a high bar

What we look for

  1. High ownership and the ability to operate effectively without handholding

  2. Proficiency in analysis - Excel, LLM’s for subjective problems and the ability to determine correct metrics to track for various cases

  3. Understanding of how organisations function and scale - setup teams from scratch, hire for roles that don’t exist

  4. Effective communication for both maintaining relations with stakeholders, candidates and creating decks that communicate the right message

  5. High EQ and understanding of how people operate to drive HR functions like company morale and recruitment

How We Work
We care about craft obsessively. Your work gets questioned, pulled apart, and rebuilt — not because we're harsh, but because everyone here holds each other to a standard most places don't bother with. We work out of a hacker house in Vasant Kunj. We strongly encourage everyone to be in office.
