Strategic Account Manager

The Strategic Account Manager is the digital marketing services sales lead.

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is a key player in the digital and station sales environment, serving as a critical resource for reaching station and department goals.  The SAM is focused on developing and maintaining digital sales revenue, working closely with account executives and the Digital Sales Manager.  The SAM will also support all digital sales through the building of creative elements and sales presentations as directed. They will also participate in sales calls with clients/prospects.

Responsibilities:

o    Close digital revenue by attending and participating in sales calls, client presentations, and station sales events.

o    Has the ability to conceptualize client/prospect marketing needs, create high-impact multimedia sales presentations of marketing campaigns.

o    Develop creative production for client advertising.

o    Attend and participate in corporate sales conference calls and events.

o    Be capable of inputting orders for digital products using the dashboards/order entry systems.

o    Provide analysis and reporting on digital revenue from WideOrbit.

o    Work with all station departments including Sales, News, Promotions and Production.

o    Perform other duties as assigned by the Digital Sales Manager.

Qualifications:

o    Must possess strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.

o    Experience working in local digital, television, radio, or other media is a plus, but is not required.

o    Must have knowledge and understanding of the television industry as well as digital media.

o    Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Google Analytics, GAM, WideOrbit and various online dashboards.

o    Must be organized and detail oriented, with a positive attitude toward team member requests.

o    Ability to work in fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

o    Must possess a valid state driver's license (or be able to get one) and have a personal vehicle to travel on company business.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

o    Bachelor’s degree required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

o    Dexterity to use desktop publishing and computer systems.   Vision and communication for the preparation and delivery of reports and presentations. Ability to drive vehicle.
