General purpose: Stop-Motion Studio Assistant is a studio monitor position for the Stop Motion lab. 

Summary of Essential Functions 

Regular weekly maintenance of equipment and general studio cleanliness. 

Assists with technical upkeep during and outside of class hours. 

Allows access to secured equipment closet for student use.

Perform other related duties as assigned 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (This section should contain those knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA’s) that are required  for the employee to do the job satisfactorily after an initial orientation, training, or introductory period)  Knowledge of: Dragonframe and Adobe Suite. 

Skills: Set building and construction, camera and lighting operation. 

Minimum qualifications: 

Previously taken a Stop Motion course. 

Currently enrolled MICA student. 

Reporting to this position: No direct reports.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. 

Work environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 

Required training: Handbook orientation, Anti-Harassment, Hazard Communication, Emergency Plans & Fire Prevention, Personal Protection Equipment. (additional training may be added, SEE: EHS Manager training schedule)
