Reporting to the Director, Product Design, this role will help shape the future of sports fandom across our digital products and platforms. This role requires deep knowledge of sports, strong familiarity with digital sports products, and a clear understanding of sports audience behaviors, fandom, and live and creator content consumption patterns. This role is responsible for helping to drive product vision, influencing strategy, and creating alignment across multiple teams, platforms, and customer journeys. You'll partner with Design Operations, Product, Engineering, User Research, Data, and business leaders to solve ambiguous problems, identify opportunities for innovation, and deliver experiences that drive meaningful customer and business impact.

As a Staff Product Designer, you'll be a highly influential individual contributor who helps shape product direction, elevate design quality, and mentor other designers while remaining deeply involved in raising the bar for UX Design and execution.

The Work

  • Lead highly complex, cross-functional initiatives that span multiple products, platforms, and customer experiences.

  • Partner closely with Design Operations, Product Managers, Engineers, User Researchers, and Business Stakeholders to define and deliver customer-centered solutions.

  • Translate customer insights, business objectives, and technical constraints into intuitive and engaging experiences.

  • Create workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that clearly communicate product direction and intent.

  • Leverage customer research, analytics, experimentation, and market insights to inform design decisions.

  • Contribute to and evolve design systems, patterns, and reusable components that improve consistency and scalability.

  • Apply systems thinking to understand and improve experiences across the broader sports fan ecosystem.

  • Participate in roadmap discussions and help identify opportunities to improve customer engagement and business outcomes.

  • Collaborate effectively across teams to ensure high-quality execution and delivery.

  • Mentor and support other designers through feedback, collaboration, and design critique.

  • Explore emerging technologies, including AI-powered experiences and AI-assisted workflows, to improve both customer experiences and team effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 8+ years of experience designing digital consumer products and experiences.

  • Proven track record leading complex, ambiguous, and strategically important initiatives.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work and customer-centered problem solving.

  • Experience influencing product strategy and driving alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience leveraging research, customer insights, analytics, and experimentation to shape product direction.

  • Ability to balance long-term vision with practical execution.

  • Experience with AI-native products, AI-powered experiences, personalization systems, or emerging technologies strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success mentoring and developing designers preferred.

  • Experience designing large-scale consumer platforms, ecosystems, or multi-product experiences preferred.

  • Experience in sports, media, entertainment, streaming, gaming, or consumer technology preferred.

Preferred

  • Experience designing for live sports, highlights, second-screen, stats, community, or socially driven fan experiences

  • Experience with motion, prototyping, or storytelling tools that help bring concepts to life

  • Strong understanding of personalization, notifications, content discovery, or fan engagement patterns

  • Passion for sports and strong instincts for what resonates with distinct fan bases and communities
