About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients according to established clinical protocols and standards.
- Assess and monitor patients' physical and clinical conditions and promptly report any changes to the treating physician or senior nurse.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other relevant clinical observations.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, treatments, and emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient nursing records, medication charts, and clinical documentation.
- Ensure proper implementation of infection prevention and control practices.
- Maintain patient safety, hygiene, comfort, and dignity at all times.
- Educate patients and their attendants regarding medications, treatment plans, procedures, diet, and discharge instructions.
- Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, surgeries, and transfers as required.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate nursing interventions within the scope of practice.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and administration of medicines and medical supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of nursing stations, patient-care areas, and equipment.
- Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, ethical guidelines, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nurses, technicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in shift handovers and communicate relevant patient information accurately.
- Report incidents, medication errors, adverse events, and other clinical concerns to the appropriate authority.
- Participate in continuing education, training programs, audits, and quality-improvement initiatives.
