Job Description

The Senior Manager, Government Affairs Strategy and Operations serves as the operational lead for the CEMEA Government Affairs Hub Team and is responsible for strengthening the planning, governance, execution, financial management, capability building, and operational discipline of the function.


The CEMEA Government Affairs Hub Team is built around three pillars: Government Strategy and Policy, International Organizations and International Affairs, and Operations. While this role serves as the operational lead for the Operations pillar, it works across all areas of the function, providing the structure, governance, planning, reporting, budget management, intelligence coordination, training, and stakeholder engagement that enable Government Affairs priorities to be delivered effectively across the region.


Working closely with Government Affairs leadership and partners across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, HR, Communications, Product, and business teams, this role acts as the operational backbone of the Government Affairs team, ensuring strong execution, effective resource management, operational excellence, and alignment across regional priorities.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive strategic planning, annual operating plans, workforce planning, and execution tracking.
  • Lead budget planning, forecasting, reporting, procurement, and resource management.
  • Manage governance, compliance, audit readiness, approvals, and risk management processes.
  • Program manage key Government Affairs initiatives, events, sponsorships, and leadership engagements.
  • Produce executive ready analyses, presentations, dashboards, and leadership updates.
  • Coordinate with Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, Communications, Procurement, and business teams to support Government Affairs priorities.
  • Lead intelligence gathering and reporting on key policy, regulatory, geopolitical, and industry developments.
  • Develop tools, processes, dashboards, and AI enabled solutions that improve visibility, efficiency, and decision making.
  • Coordinate onboarding, training, capability building, and knowledge sharing across the Government Affairs team.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the function.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, International Relations, Political Science, Law, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in Government Affairs, Public Policy, Strategy, Business Operations, Program Management, Finance, Compliance, Consulting, or related fields.
  • Strong planning, organizational, project management, and execution skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work effectively across functions, geographies, and levels of seniority.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive ready presentations, briefings, and recommendations.
  • Experience partnering with Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, Communications, and other cross functional stakeholders.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reporting tools, operating processes, and management routines.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion, and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and AI enabled productivity solutions.
