Position : Senior Executive – Quality Assurance
Department:  Quality Assurance (QA)
Location:  Bhiwandi Plant (BBK)
Reporting To : Quality Assurance Manager / QA Lead

Role Purpose
The Senior Executive – Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety, quality management systems, and regulatory requirements across manufacturing operations. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining quality systems, driving GMP and hygiene compliance, supporting audits, investigating deviations, and fostering a strong quality culture within the plant.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Systems
● Implement and maintain the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in line with FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, GHP, and internal quality standards.
● Ensure compliance with FSSAI and other applicable regulatory requirements.
● Review and update SOPs, work instructions, specifications, and quality procedures.
● Monitor compliance with quality standards across production and support functions.

Food Safety & Compliance
● Conduct daily GMP, hygiene, sanitation, and housekeeping audits.
● Verify compliance with CCPs, OPRPs, allergen controls, and traceability requirements.
● Ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified for audit findings.
● Monitor environmental hygiene and pest control programs.

Documentation & Record Management
● Review batch manufacturing records, quality records, and line clearance documents.
● Ensure accurate documentation and timely closure of quality records.
● Maintain calibration, validation, and verification records.
● Control document revisions and ensure only current documents are in use.

Audit Management
● Coordinate internal, customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
● Support FSSC 22000 surveillance and recertification audits.
● Track audit observations and ensure timely CAPA implementation. ● Conduct internal audits and compliance assessments.

CAPA & Continuous Improvement
● Investigate deviations, non-conformities, customer complaints, and food safety incidents.
● Perform root cause analysis and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
● Monitor CAPA effectiveness and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Training & Quality Culture
● Conduct induction and refresher training on GMP, hygiene, food safety, and quality systems.
● Develop quality awareness among production and warehouse teams.
● Ensure employee compliance with food safety practices.

Cross-Functional Coordination
● Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, Warehouse, Maintenance, Procurement, and R&D teams.
● Support new product development (NPD), validation, and process qualification activities.
● Participate in change control, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualification
● B.Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, or a related field.

Experience
● 4–7 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the Food or FMCG industry. ● Hands-on experience with FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, and food safety management systems.
● Experience in customer, regulatory, and certification audits is preferred.

Required Skills
● Strong knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
● In-depth understanding of FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, GHP, and FSSAI regulations.
● Experience in audit management and CAPA implementation.
● Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
● Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and quality management documentation.
