Specialist, Category Merchandising
About this role
About Poshmark
Poshmark is the leading fashion marketplace where style comes alive through discovery, self-expression, and human connection. Powered by a vibrant community of 165 million members, Poshmark brings real people and taste to shopping through a social experience shaped by shared discovery. Buying and selling fashion feels simple, joyful, and personal, while every item tells its own story. Poshmark empowers sellers to grow meaningful businesses, keeps fashion in circulation longer, and gives shoppers access to unique and trusted finds, from everyday pieces to one-of-a-kind vintage and luxury.
This is a hands-on role at the core of how Poshmark's inventory gets understood, tracked, and activated. You'll work closely with the Category Merchandising Manager to monitor what's moving across the platform, support supply and demand analysis, and help execute the merchandising strategy across categories and channels.
You'll be the engine room of the category merchandising function — building and maintaining the reporting that keeps the team informed, tracking trend and inventory signals across categories, and supporting the execution of merchandising plans across editorial, promotional, and in-app surfaces.
This is an ideal role for someone who is curious about how product and data intersect, has strong commercial instincts they want to develop, and wants to grow into a more senior merchandising position over time. You'll learn how to connect supply and demand intelligence to real business outcomes — and be given increasing ownership as you build your track record.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Track and report on category performance
Maintain regular reporting on sell-through rates, listing volume, search trends, and category-level performance metrics. Flag meaningful shifts to the Manager and contribute to the weekly and monthly merchandising reviews.
Support supply and demand analysis
Help break down inventory health across categories, brands, and price points — identifying where supply is thin relative to demand, and where we have depth that isn't converting. Support the Manager in building the case for supply acquisition priorities and demand activation opportunities.
Monitor trends across fashion and culture
Stay close to what's happening in fashion, resale, and pop culture — tracking emerging trends, brand heat, and seasonal shifts that should inform how we merchandise the platform. Bring those observations to the team with supporting data where possible.
Execute across merchandising surfaces
Support the day-to-day execution of merchandising plans — including editorial curation, promotional setups, category page updates, and coordination with creative and growth teams. Ensure assets and copy are accurate, on-brand, and delivered on time.
Coordinate across teams on delivery
Work with growth, creative, product, and supply teams to make sure merchandising plans are well-briefed and executed on schedule. Keep projects moving and raise blockers early.
