About this role

🌊 About Sailor Health

America is undergoing one of the largest demographic shifts in its history as the Baby Boomer generation enters its later years. This shift will put unprecedented pressure on Medicare, which already spends more than $1 trillion each year caring for older adults. Yet the healthcare system is built backwards: reactive instead of preventative, measuring years of life instead of the quality of them.

Sailor Health is building a new care model for aging. We combine behavioral health, healthcare advocacy, wellness classes, and AI care agents into one virtual platform designed for older adults. AI coaches help patients navigate their health between visits, while AI copilots give providers the tools to deliver higher quality, better informed care. We partner with Medicare to make our platform affordable and accessible to older adults nationwide.

Sailor has exceptional product market fit:

  • Exponential growth: We are honored to serve thousands of patients across all 50 states, with strong organic demand helping make Sailor one of the fastest growing companies in healthcare.

  • AI powered, deeply human care: We harness the power of AI while keeping human connection at the center of care, creating an experience that feels personal, continuous, and deeply human.

  • Talent dense team: We are a 25 person team in our NYC office and are backed by the founders of Ramp, Nourish, Headway, Charlie Health, and Spring Health.

⭐ About the Role

Location: New York City, in office, 5 days a week.

We’re hiring a Special Projects Lead, Product & Growth to build the engine behind Sailor’s newest distribution channel: provider partnerships. You’ll pair with the Director of Provider Partnerships and work hand in hand with our Provider Partnership Managers (PPMs), the people who bring Sailor to physician groups and clinics across the country.

Our PPMs are the front line of this channel. Your job is to make each of them dramatically more effective with AI, then turn what works into a playbook, a team, and an infrastructure that can scale far beyond where we are today.

đŸ’» Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Understand the work. You’ll spend real time with PPMs. That means riding along on field visits, sitting in on calls, and mapping how a partnership actually moves from first conversation to a steady flow of referred patients. You’ll find where time gets lost, where deals stall, and where a better tool or process would change the outcome.

  2. Build the product. You’ll vibe code a web app built for PPMs, and you’ll build it yourself. You’ll design the data workflows behind it too, so every PPM knows which practices to prioritize, where each partnership stands, and what to do next. When you hit something that needs real engineering, you can pull in our engineers, but the default is that you ship.

  3. Build the playbook and scale the team. You’ll capture what our best PPMs do differently and turn it into a repeatable system: the playbook, the onboarding manual, the training, and the coaching that gets every new hire to full productivity fast. You’ll help shape how we grow the PPM team, from hiring profile to ramp plan.

  4. Build for hyper scale. You’ll design the infrastructure that lets this channel grow 10x without breaking, including territory design, capacity planning, reporting, and the systems that keep quality high as the team gets bigger. You’ll also quarterback the collateral PPMs use in the field, from one pagers to practice onboarding kits.

✅ What We’re Looking For

This role isn’t for everyone. It’s fast paced, chaotic, and requires hard work. But if this excites you, we’d love to meet you.

  • 3 to 9 years of experience across product, strategy, analytics, or operations. You might come from a startup product or ops team, consulting, or a data heavy growth role. You’ve built things people actually used.

  • A strong data background. You’re fluent in SQL and comfortable building dashboards and models that others rely on. You can find the signal in messy data and explain it simply.

  • A real product mindset. You know how to talk to users, spot the problem behind the request, and ship something that fits into someone’s day. You care more about adoption than elegance.

  • You vibe code, and you ship. You’re already building with AI tools and want to do it as a core part of your job. You don’t need to be a software engineer, but you need to be hands on and unafraid to put something in users’ hands quickly.

  • High EQ. PPMs are talented, relationship driven people, and they’ll only use what genuinely helps them. You build trust quickly, listen well, and can coach without making it feel like oversight. You’re equally comfortable in the room with a physician group.

  • Scrappy and structured. You’d rather run a quick test than debate for a month, and you can also turn a pile of learnings into a process, a playbook, and a system that scales.

  • Deep empathy for the people we serve. Our patients are 65 and older, and many are navigating complex mental and physical health care for the first time. Everything we build has to work for them, and for the people who bring Sailor to them.

Our Offer to You

  • 💰 Competitive salary and equity

  • đŸ©ș Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental & vision insurance

  • 🌮 Flexible PTO and sick days

  • đŸ± Lunch and dinner in our beautiful Soho office covered by Sailor

  • đŸŽ€ Team building events

  • ✚ Additional: One Medical Membership for US employees, HSA, Talkspace, HealthAdvocate, Teladoc Health

Our Values

  1. 💙 Make your Grandparents Proud: Remember why you’re here and build the standard of care you wish your grandparents received.

  2. 💡 Best Ideas Win: We strip problems down to first principles and challenge each other – but once a decision is made, we row as one.

  3. âšĄïžGo Fast and Far: We have a burning sense of urgency AND we go the extra mile.

  4. đŸ„‡ Do What It Takes To Be #1: We obsess over excellence and challenge ourselves and each other to actualize our best selves.

  5. â›” Happy Crew: A miserable crew rows slow. A happy crew rows fast. Fun is a performance metric.
