About this role
As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for planning and managing food preparation in the kitchen. You will assist the Chef to perform a range of duties including planning menus, training new staff, and recording inventory.

What you’ll do
- Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs
- Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner
- Resolve customer problems and concerns
- Monitor and record inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies
- Provide support to kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
- Train new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards
- Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations
- Manage the kitchen team in the executive chef's absence
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a 5* hotel environment
- A culinary degree
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities
- High energy, ability to work under pressure
- Good understanding of MS Office and restaurant software programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
