About this role

Usercentrics is a global leader in data privacy and privacy-led marketing solutions. We believe there is no need for a trade-off between growth and privacy compliance. Our vision is to unlock the potential of data privacy to empower a thriving digital ecosystem. We work with companies to create a healthy balance between data-driven business and privacy-led marketing for every size of enterprise. Usercentrics is hiring a Business Data Analyst - Acquisition Marketing to join our Business Intelligence team. In this role you will act as a dedicated BI partner to the Demand Generation team, optimizing lead generation, campaign performance and acquisition strategies. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver measurable impact.

We're hiring a hands-on engineer to build and own production systems across our full stack. You'll ship real features and platform components, hold your work and your team's work to a high quality bar, and grow your technical scope over time.

How we build has changed. You'll spend less time typing syntax and more time specifying intent, directing AI coding agents, and reviewing what they produce.

You own the correctness of everything you ship, whoever or whatever wrote the first draft.

We hire at two levels, Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. The level is set during the process based on your experience and the scope you've owned.

YOUR TASKS:

Build, with AI as a core tool

  • Implement features and platform components end-to-end, from design through production.
  • Specify, generate, review, and validate AI-generated code with the same rigor as your own.
  • Write tests, refactor, and improve the codebase as you go.
  • Prototype approaches in real code before committing to them.

Raise the bar on quality

  • Write maintainable, well-tested, production-grade code.
  • Give thoughtful code reviews, with extra scrutiny on AI-assisted changes.
  • Contribute to observability, reliability, security, and CI/CD practices in your team.
  • Share what works (and what doesn't) with AI-assisted development.

Design and decide

  • Design services, APIs, and components within your team's domain.
  • Make pragmatic trade-offs between delivery speed and long-term health, and explain your reasoning.

Understand the product

  • Connect your work to product outcomes and customer impact.
  • Give technical input on scope and prioritization instead of just taking tickets.
  • Work with product and design to keep our data handling compliant and transparent.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of professional experience shipping production software.
  • A track record of owning a system or domain end to end.
  • Evidence that you’ve raised a team’s engineering standards through mentoring and technical influence.
  • Strong proficiency in modern full-stack development, for example TypeScript/Node.js, .NET and React.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AI coding tools, and the judgment to review and stand behind their output.
  • Solid grasp of API design, distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
  • Experience running services in production on a major cloud provider. Containers and Kubernetes are a plus.
  • The ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes and reason about cost and value.
  • Pragmatic judgment and comfort with ambiguity.

Nice to have

  • Experience in privacy, consent management or another regulated-data domain.
  • Experience introducing or scaling AI-assisted development practices in a team.

How we work: AI-native by default

Usercentrics is pushing AI adoption across engineering, and we expect you to work this way from day one. You’ll direct AI coding agents and hold their output to the same bar as human-written code.
