The role

We're looking for a Social Media Manager to own the day-to-day execution of Happy Pay's content across Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. You'll be the person making sure our content ships consistently, on-brand, on time, every week.

Strategy is set. Direction is clear. What we need is someone who can take a plan and run with it, bring the platforms to life, and grow with us as we scale.

What you'll be doing

- Owning execution across our three main channels (IG, TikTok, LinkedIn), from planning the weekly calendar to posting and reporting

- Content management: turning briefs into finished posts, Reels, TikToks, and LinkedIn content that lands

- Community management: replying to DMs, comments, and building relationships with our audience

- Working with our design and content team to keep the pipeline moving

- Supporting UGC campaigns: briefing creators, managing outputs, feeding winners into our content mix

- Reporting on performance and using the numbers to inform what we do next

- Being an active voice in strategy conversations. You execute, but your ideas matter.

Must-haves

- Digitally native. You live on social platforms. TikTok is second nature, not something you're learning.

- A content brain. You know what works, what doesn't, and why.

- LinkedIn content experience. You've built or run content for B2B audiences and know how the platform behaves.

- High-agency mindset. No setbacks, only opportunities. You solve problems, you don't wait for someone to tell you how.

- Always upskilling. You're curious, you experiment, you get better every week.

- Ability to execute. You ship, consistently, without needing to be chased.

- A great sense of humour. Non-negotiable. We work hard, we don't take ourselves too seriously.

- Minimum 1 year in a social media or content role.

Nice-to-haves (not dealbreakers)

- Basic design skills (Canva is fine, deeper skills a bonus)

- Experience briefing or working with UGC creators

- Comfort with platform analytics and reporting tools

- A front-row seat at one of South Africa's most exciting fintech scale-ups
