Social Media Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to support our APAC marketing team. This internship offers hands-on experience across social media management, content creation, influencer marketing, and regional digital campaigns.

The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, has a strong interest in digital marketing, and can demonstrate a proven track record of creating engaging content through personal, academic, freelance, or professional projects. Candidates should be comfortable working across multiple markets and adapting content for diverse audiences in Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

• Support the management of regional social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WeChat, and LINE.

• Assist with content scheduling and publishing calendar management to ensure timely execution.

• Monitor platform performance and track key metrics such as engagement, reach, impressions, and follower growth.

• Stay abreast of emerging social media trends, formats, and platform updates.

• Coordinate with social media champions and local stakeholders across APAC markets.

Content Creation & Execution

• Assist in brainstorming and developing creative content ideas tailored to different APAC audiences.

• Support monthly content planning and calendar development.

• Create social media assets including captions, graphics, simple video edits, and short-form content.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure timely content delivery.

• Contribute ideas that help improve content engagement and audience growth.

Influencer Marketing

• Research and identify relevant content creators and influencers across key APAC markets.

• Support influencer outreach and campaign coordination activities.

• Assist with preparing campaign briefs and tracking project timelines.

• Review influencer submissions for brand alignment and campaign compliance.

• Maintain influencer databases, campaign trackers, and reporting documentation.

Digital Marketing Support

• Provide support for ongoing digital marketing campaigns and regional initiatives.

• Assist with campaign reporting, research, and administrative coordination.

• Conduct competitor and market research to identify content trends and opportunities.

• Collaborate with the wider marketing team on cross-functional projects and ad hoc assignments.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate or entry-level candidate in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, Digital Marketing, or a related field.

• ***Available for a minimum internship period of 3 months, with preference for candidates available for up to 6 months***

• Strong interest in social media, content marketing, and digital communications.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated history of creating engaging content through internships, university projects, freelance work, creator channels, student organizations, or personal social media platforms.

• Portfolio showcasing social media posts, short-form videos, graphic design work, or content campaigns.

• Familiarity with major social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging social trends.

• Basic proficiency with content creation tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.

• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders across different countries and cultures.

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Experience growing or managing social media communities.

• Experience creating short-form video content for TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts.

• Knowledge of influencer marketing and creator ecosystems across APAC.

• Strong storytelling and creative ideation skills supported by a portfolio of work.
