Setter/Supervisor

Job Summary: Setter/Supervisor  
Reporting to: Technician  

The role of the Setter/Supervisor will be to set, condition & optimise several injection machines & oversee Robot 
program changes and support individuals on the usual nightshift.  

Outputs: 
• Offer support and supervision to operators to make sure they fully understand their job duties and quality 
requirements 
• Ensure restarts and start up processes are followed 
• Fault finding and problem solving of development and production processes 
• Tool changes including tool preparation, cleaning hoppers and material preparation 
• Ensure machines have sufficient material 
• Completion of relevant paperwork i.e. production sheets, OEE, Tool Change Sheets  
• Cleanliness around machines including beds 
• Assist Team Leader with production training and First Offs  
• Perform hands-on production and assembly functions, includes running autos and packing. Perform 
related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates. 
• Set-up and run automation cells 
• Set up and programme robots 
• Data collection and recording using papers and cloud-based systems 
• Carry out shift handover 

Health, Safety and Environment: 
• Ensure company Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to. 
• Dispose of recyclable waste in a responsible manner and ensure correct waste stream is used  
• Report any HSE non-conformances and near misses to the Technician and/or Site Leader 

Personal: 
• Understand modern manufacturing principles and quality, as well as health and safety standards 
• IMT2 Qualification, working towards IMT3 
• Good Communication skills  
• Have a conscientious attitude to work 
• To demonstrate a level of determination to achieve multiple tasks in a busy environment 
• Confident to improve and adjust moulding conditions 
• Problem solving experience  
• Ability to coach and support apprentices 
• Self-motivated with ambition 
• Hold an Overhead Crane and FLT Licence 
• Knowledge of materials 
• IT literate  
• Supervisory experience 
• Ensure quality standards of the product are adhered to 
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement and cost saving ideas 

Performance: 
Your performance will be monitored on the above. It is your responsibility to discuss with your supervisor if you 
require training in any of the above duties, and to make a training request via the Goodskills app. Performance 
management will be reviewed and recorded using; 
• Bi-Annual Assessments on BambooHR and one to ones 
• Personal development using Goodskills app 
• Measured KPIs 

Reporting:  
Measured KPIs include: 
• OTTR/OTIF for your area 
• Scrap levels for your area 
• Continuous Improvement implementations in your area 
• Prioritisation & time management 
• Housekeeping of your area (including 5S audits)
