Engines & Power Systems provides the propulsion, auxiliary power and electrical systems that keep aircraft flying. With engines across roughly 120 aircraft types and more than 47,000 APUs in service today, we support operators across commercial and defense markets — backed by an aftermarket network built for the long service life of every platform we power.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Grinding and bench fitting repair on aero engine hardware in accordance with approved manuals and repair documents. Meet drawing and dimensional specifications requirements using various air tools, shop equipment, and hand tools.
  • Proficient in Cylindrical Grinding is a must (conventional and CNC-assist).
  • Additional skill in Vertical Milling is a plus (conventional and CNC-assist).
  • Ability to do simple CNC programming would be a plus.
  • General knowledge of usage of air tools, shop equipment and hand tools.
  • Inspect finished products and accurately use various industry standard measuring tools.
  • Ensure that work carried out meets the required quality as stated in the respective manuals and technical documents. 
  • Perform equipment maintenance via establish TPM guidelines.
  • Practice 5S principals and maintain work area for operation and cleanliness
  • Initiates & implements continuous improvement activities to improve productivity and quality.

 

Key Experience & Capabilities: 

  • Must have at least a NTC certificate or higher 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of cylindrical grinding various materials.
  • Must be able to interpret blueprint drawings and use of aircraft component manuals and/or publications.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Committed and willing to work in machining environment.
  • Good understanding of 5S and TPM concepts.
  • Must have basic computer skills. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of Six Sigma and Lean tools will be an added advantage.
