Job Summary:

Dean-Lane is looking for a Service Dispatcher to join our team!

Job Responsibilities:

The duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Schedule HVAC and plumbing service calls, ensuring efficient planning and technician utilization.
• Coordinate with the Service Manager to determine estimated job durations.
• Communicate and dispatch technicians ensuring timely arrival, clear job instructions and any other relevant information. Maintain ongoing communication with service technicians regarding job progress, locations and schedules.
• Match packing slips with purchase orders to ensure accuracy of incoming materials.
• Enter job and material details into Jonas, creating and updating work orders accordingly.
• Convert approved quotes into actionable work orders and schedule necessary repairs.
• Assist with billing prep and documentation to ensure timely invoicing.
• Create and maintain customer profiles within the Jonas system.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a service coordination, dispatch, or administrative support role (HVAC/plumbing industry preferred).
• Familiarity with Jonas software or similar service management platforms.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, managers, and customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience with GPS-based dispatching is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of backflow documentation and city submission processes is considered an asset.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 7:30 – 4:00
