Senior Vice President, Client Executive

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President Client Executive to join the BNY Investments team. This role is located in Tokyo, Japan.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of institutional clients and prospects, with accountability for revenue growth, asset retention, and client satisfaction.

• Develop strategic account plans and identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and win new business.

• Partner with senior client stakeholders to understand their objectives and deliver solutions that address their business needs.

• Represent the full breadth of BNY's capabilities, bringing together product, service, and market expertise to deliver tailored client solutions.

• Lead the sales process from opportunity identification through proposal development, commercial negotiations, and implementation.

• Build strong internal partnerships across investments, product, client service, operations, legal, compliance, and other stakeholder groups to deliver an exceptional client experience.

• Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and support client conversations.

• Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for key client matters while maintaining accurate pipeline and client information within CRM systems.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• Significant experience in institutional sales, relationship management, business development, or client coverage within financial services.
• Strong understanding of investment management products, capital markets, asset servicing, or related financial solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers and influence outcomes across complex organisations.
• Commercial mindset with a track record of generating revenue growth, winning new business, and expanding existing client relationships.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree and relevant industry licences or certifications are advantageous.
