Senior Treasury Analyst

Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the Senior Treasury Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the financial strength and liquidity of Beth Israel Lahey Health, Inc. (BILH). This highly visible position provides direct exposure to debt financing activities, capital market transactions, pension investment oversight, enterprise liquidity management, and strategic treasury initiatives. The role supports a complex healthcare treasury environment involving tax-exempt and taxable debt, a commercial paper program, pension investments, and enterprise liquidity management. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior leadership, external financial advisors, banking partners, and investment managers while helping advance Treasury capabilities through data analytics, process automation, and the practical application of emerging technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, and Treasury technology modernization initiatives.

Job Description:

• Support due diligence, financial analysis and reporting related to debt financing, capital market transactions, rating agency reviews, commercial paper issuance and repayment, and line of credit renewals.

• Serve as key Treasury subject matter expert for debt covenant compliance, continuing disclosure requirements, and quarterly and annual debt reporting.

• Develop and maintain executive-level reporting, dashboards, analytics, and financial models supporting debt management, liquidity forecasting, investment oversight, and strategic Treasury decision-making.

• Facilitate cash forecasting and liquidity management activities, including maintaining short- and long-term cash forecasts, analyzing operating liquidity, monitoring banking activity, and providing recommendations to support funding and investment decisions.

• Assist with establishment and functional and administrative maintenance of deposit, custody and investment accounts in support of operating cash, liquidity and short-term investment management.

• Coordinate timely vendor setup, remittance instructions validation, initiation, review and issuance of Treasury payments.

• Manage relationships with the organization's Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) and investment partners for the Organization's Pension Investments.

• Partner with stakeholders across Accounting, Finance, Legal and Technology to leverage emerging technologies, including LLMs and Agentic AI solutions, and support Treasury software-as-a-service application evaluation and implementation efforts to enhance reporting, analytics, and operational efficiency.

• Lead the audit process for the Organization's Pension Investments.

• Provide timely and accurate support for audit processes.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Licensure, Certification & Registration

CTP Preferred.

Experience

5-8 years of progressive experience in corporate Treasury, Finance, banking and capital markets.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of debt instruments (commercial paper, bond issuance, lines of credit, capital markets, and corporate financing strategies).

• Experience with OCIO models and endowment or pension investment operations, including settlement, compliance, and reporting.

• Strong understanding of liquidity management practices, including cash forecasting, operating liquidity analysis, banking structures, and working capital optimization.

• Experience leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI solutions, or similar technologies to enhance financial analysis and forecasting, automate reporting, streamline treasury processes, and improve business decision-making.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with demonstrated ability to independently prototype financial models, and scenario analysis to develop long-term solutions and support strategic financial decision-making.

• Knowledge of Corporate Bond Issuance; Tax-Exempt Issuance is a plus.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with leadership.

• Proven ownership of projects and deliverables from inception through completion.

• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive process improvements across a complex organization.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Not-for-profit Treasury Experience.

• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is a plus.

• Experience with LLMs and agentic AI is a plus.

• Experience with R, Stata or Python is a plus.

• TMS and treasury technology implementation experience is a plus.

 

 

Pay Range:

$100,000.00 USD - $120,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
