About this role

Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose issues end to end across GCP logs, Cloud SQL state and the BigQuery payload registry.
  • Take action: redeploy/rollback via GitHub, adjust Cloud Run parameters, re-trigger jobs, launch reprocessing, apply workarounds.
  • Isolate third-party faults (ERP data, MuleSoft, marketplace) from Snacksync defects; produce evidence and execute handoffs.
  • Deliver corrective fixes (DEV→NPRD→PRD) with regression, smoke and post-deployment validation; author runbooks and RCAs.

Technical skills

  • SQL / PostgreSQL on Cloud SQL — confident diagnostic and corrective queries against operational state.
  • GCP log analysis — Cloud Logging / Logs Explorer with cross-service, timestamp-correlated tracing of a single transaction; log-based metrics.
  • BigQuery — SQL over the payload registry for request/response forensics and fault attribution.
  • Python — exception reading and debugging of FastAPI microservices; stack-trace triage.
  • Good to have E-commerce fundamentals — order-to-cash, pricing, catalog, credit, promotions.

Platform & tooling

  • Cloud Run and Cloud Run Jobs — service config, revisions, concurrency and min-instance tuning, rollout/rollback.
  • Pub/Sub — subscriptions, dead-letter/redelivery, message retention, backlog triage.
  • Cloud Monitoring — dashboards, alerting policies, uptime/latency signals (Datadog exposure a plus).
  • Docker/containers and Artifact Registry; GitHub & GitHub Actions CI/CD, workflow_dispatch, branch↔environment model.
  • Alembic schema migrations; Secret Manager, IAM and per-country/marketplace service accounts.
  • REST/JSON API troubleshooting (VTEX, BEES) — auth/tokens, status codes, retries/backoff, throttling; Postman or equivalent.
  • Resilience patterns: idempotency, deduplication, checksum change detection; MuleSoft interaction awareness (5xx/timeouts).
  • Cloud Load Balancing & IAP basics; Firestore/Cloud Storage for supporting functions. Kubernetes/GKE familiarity a plus given the 2026 migration.

GCP certification mandatory.
