Job Title

Senior Technical Project Manager

About your role:

You will lead complex technical projects that support product delivery, platform readiness, and business outcomes across Fiserv. You will work with technology engineering, products, operations, risk, and business stakeholders to define plans, manage dependencies, and drive execution. This role matters because it improves delivery predictability, aligns cross-functional work, and supports scalable, reliable solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Lead cross-functional technical programs from intake through delivery, aligning scope, milestones, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Develop integrated program plans, track progress against commitments, and drive issue resolution across engineering, infrastructure, product, and business teams.
  • Evaluate program risks, document mitigation plans, and escalate decisions with clear impact, tradeoff, and timing considerations.
  • Facilitate planning, status reviews, and stakeholder communications using consistent reporting, meeting cadences, and action tracking.
  • Partner with technical teams to translate business objectives into executable workstreams, delivery sequencing, and release readiness activities.
  • Develop program governance artifacts, including roadmaps, dependency maps, decision logs, and executive-ready updates.
  • Improve delivery execution by identifying process gaps, standardizing workflows, and measuring outcomes across multiple initiatives.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 6+ years of experience in technical program management, technical product delivery, or project leadership within software, platform, or enterprise technology environments.
  • 6+ years of experience leading large, complex, cross-functional initiatives with engineering, infrastructure, product management, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • 6+ years of experience using structured delivery methods such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid program frameworks.
  • Experience using program and project tools to manage roadmaps, risks, dependencies, status reporting, and delivery milestones.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts, delivery tradeoffs, and program status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience in financial services, payments, fintech, or regulated technology environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise platform programs, application modernization, or systems integration efforts.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Clarity, ServiceNow, or similar delivery and collaboration tools.
  • Experience with Cybersecurity and Technology Risk Management (CTRM), release management, change management, or operational readiness planning.
  • Fiserv products experience
