About this role

Overview

The Sr. Technical Product Owner (STPO) is responsible for driving solution definitions that support

business ideas and product concepts that can be turned into application software solutions. The STPO

works at a team, program, and enterprise level, gathering needs and translating those into testable

requirements.

 

The STPO has deep domain knowledge and strong experience in collaborating with a

diverse team including product managers, software developers, testers, and teams such as Client

Services, Operations, Clinical, Data Science, and Marketing.

 

This STPO position will be focused on Pharmacy claim processing and auditing, and developing innovative

solutions for improving billing accuracy and providing real time recommendations to pharmacists and

patients. The STPO must quickly understand needs, develop specifications for new products, and at times

support product integration efforts across multiple products.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews and requirement workshops with a cross-discipline team to elicit understanding of business needs
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, and development team to drive a solution that meets the program level objectives and vision
  • Collaborate directly with Product, Business, and development teams in the creation and maintenance of requirements (Features and User Stories)
  • Refinement of program backlog and preparation/readiness
  • Prioritize and maintain the team backlog
  • Acceptance of specifications or user stories to be completed at the end of each iteration/sprint
  • Ability to mentor other onshore or offshore Technical Product Owners (TPO)
  • Collaborate across teams (program level) and value streams (portfolio level)
  • Lead discussions and plan roadmap on large projects with Architecture team for new product and enterprise initiatives
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field with significant Pharmacy experience (Medical Bill Review; Group Health or P&C Medical)
  • Advanced degree in Pharmacy preferred (ex. Doctor of Pharmacy)
  • 10 years business experience
  • 7+ years’ experience in various aspects of Pharmacy operations, including store operations and/or corporate operations.
  • Experience with systems modeling, user interface design and prototyping, decision trees, or data flow tools.
  • Expert use of analysis, documentation, and presentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, etc.
  • Excellent verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills; team player
  • Strong written skills showing the ability to convey functional details accurately in a well-structured and precise manner that describe end user problems and solutions
  • Proven problem-solving skills, is logical and analytical
  • Ability to learn healthcare domain quickly (prior healthcare experience desired)
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Physical Requirments and Working Conditions

  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to moderate noise intensity expected.
  • Proximity to heavy rolling containers or machinery expected.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

 

Base compensation ranges from $135,000 to $155,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
