Job Description: Instructional Designer
Role Type: Instructional Designer – SAP Training & End-User Enablement
We are looking for a skilled Instructional Designer to support a large-scale SAP transformation program. The role will focus on developing high-quality, role-based learning content that enables end users to confidently adopt new processes & technology. The ideal candidate will have experience creating training materials, working with functional and business stakeholders, and using tools such as SAP Enable Now, Microsoft PowerPoint, Articulate 360, WalkMe, Whatfix & Camtasia
Key Objectives
•Develop training content that provides the right mix of business process knowledge and technical guidance for specific end-user groups.
•Support the creation of role-based curricula and learning paths aligned to SAP S/4HANA processes, modules & deployment timelines
•Enable end users to transition successfully to new ways of working by creating clear, practical & engaging learning assets
•Contribute to training readiness, Train-the-Trainer prep, end-user training support & post-training reinforcement
Key Responsibilities
•Work with Training Lead, Training Architect, Functional Consultants, Business SMEs, OCM teams & client stakeholders to understand learning requirements & impacted user groups
•Conduct or support training needs analysis to identify audiences, roles, learning objectives, training formats & required learning assets
•Develop role-based SAP training materials, including instructor-led training decks, participant guides, job aids, quick reference guides, simulations, system walkthroughs, hands-on exercises, assessments & video-based learning assets
•Create and maintain SAP Enable Now content, including simulations, process recordings, work instructions & performance support materials
•Develop content that combines process context, transaction steps, system navigation, business scenarios & role-specific guidance
•Support curriculum design by mapping learning assets to business roles, modules, process areas & training delivery waves
•Collaborate with functional teams across modules such as EAM, Finance, MM, SuccessFactors & other relevant workstreams to validate training content accuracy
•Support localization, translation coordination, and adaptation of training materials for regional, functional or site-specific needs
•Participate in content reviews, quality checks, and version control to ensure materials are accurate, consistent, accessible & aligned with project standards
•Plan, prepare, and deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions, including facilitator briefings, demo walkthroughs, practice exercises, trainer enablement & Q&A support
•Deliver or co-facilitate end-user training sessions across impacted user groups, ensuring participants understand key process changes, system steps, role-based scenarios & hands-on exercises
•Capture learner and trainer feedback and update content to improve clarity, usability, and effectiveness
•Maintain organized course folders, content trackers, review logs & training asset repositories
Knowledge and Experience Required
•Degree in Instructional Design, Education, HR, IT or a related field. A certification in instructional design or SAP Enable Now is added advantage
•5–10 years of exp in training content development, instructional design, technical writing or SAP learning enablement
•Experience supporting SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade or S/4HANA transformation programs
•Experience developing training materials for business users, super users, trainers or support teams
•Hands-on experience with SAP Enable Now is preferred; experience with WalkMe, Whatfix, Articulate Storyline / Articulate 360, Camtasia, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word & Excel is desirable
•Experience working with global or multi-country teams, including offshore & client-facing delivery models
