Senior Regulatory Strategist, Last Mile Regulatory Team

Amazon operates a gig economy and on-demand delivery platform, and the regulatory landscape governing this space is evolving rapidly across all countries we operate. We are looking for a Senior Regulatory Specialist to support our APAC regulatory portfolio. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who wants to sit at the intersection of external regulatory developments, internal compliance, and product/program evolution — and who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments where the stakes are real and the work has direct business impact.

Key job responsibilities
You will track and monitor the full lifecycle of regulatory work across our APAC geos. That lifecycle has three dimensions:

- You will track regulatory developments across APAC, assess their business impact, and contribute to shaping policy outcomes through engagement with policymakers and regulators.
- When legislation passes or regulations are issued, you will own the translation of regulatory requirements into concrete product and operational changes. You will define what needs to be built, coordinate with engineering and operational teams, and drive delivery against deadlines.
- Once a compliance program is live, you will track that it stays compliant. You will manage structured reviews, assess how business changes interact with existing regulatory obligations, and respond to regulatory inquiries from government agencies.
- You will also manage regulatory data obligations, coordinating responses to government data requests, ensuring accuracy and integrity of regulatory submissions, and maintaining visibility into our data reporting footprint across APAC.

This role requires someone who can operate across all of these dimensions simultaneously, prioritize effectively under competing deadlines, and communicate complex regulatory topics to stakeholders.

Basic qualifications

- 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner

Preferred qualifications

- Master's degree in engineering, management, or technology
