About this role
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Transition Manager to lead the end-to-end transition of services, applications, processes, and resources from incumbent teams or client organizations into the delivery organization. The role is responsible for ensuring a seamless transition from project initiation through steady-state operations while minimizing business risk and maintaining service continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end transition programs for IT services, applications, infrastructure, ERP, and managed services engagements.
Develop and execute comprehensive transition plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
Drive knowledge acquisition, knowledge transfer (KT), shadowing, reverse shadowing, and operational readiness activities.
Coordinate with clients, incumbent vendors, business stakeholders, and delivery teams throughout the transition lifecycle.
Establish transition governance, reporting mechanisms, and stakeholder communication plans.
Identify, track, and mitigate transition risks, issues, and dependencies.
Ensure completion of transition deliverables, documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and process artifacts.
Facilitate resource onboarding, training, access provisioning, and environment readiness activities.
Support service acceptance and readiness reviews before moving to BAU operations.
Manage contractual transition commitments and ensure compliance with agreed timelines.
Provide regular status reports and executive updates to leadership and customers.
Drive continuous improvement and capture lessons learned for future transitions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
10+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in Transition Management.
Experience managing transitions for AMS, Infrastructure, ERP, Cloud, or Managed Services engagements.
Strong understanding of service management and operational processes.
Proven experience in customer-facing and multi-vendor environments.
Experience working with global delivery teams and distributed stakeholders.
