Senior Procurement Manager - Strategic (on behalf of a client)

STRADIGI CONSULTING on behalf of a leading global organisation is seking a Senior Procurement Manager – Strategic. The Senior Procurement Manager – Strategic is responsible for defining and driving procurement strategies across high-value and complex spend categories. The role is centered on delivering value creation, optimizing commercial outcomes, and providing strategic advisory, while remaining independent from operational execution and approval authority. The position requires strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and advanced negotiation capabilities, along with expertise in category management, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization. Success in this role depends on analytical rigor, stakeholder management, market intelligence, and the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define sourcing strategies for complex / high-value categories
• Lead commercial approach & support key negotiations
• Drive international procurement initiatives (incl. UK & multi-market deals)
• Identify cost-saving and value optimization opportunities
• Provide guidance to Execution Procurement team (no task ownership)
• Develop category strategies & market insights
• Support Cost Control with strategic input (no approval role)
• Challenge business needs to ensure cost efficiency

Profile (International & Digital Focus)

• 5 years in strategic procurement / commercial roles
• Proven experience in international and multi-market environments
• Strong exposure to UK / European markets and suppliers
• Familiarity with AI applications (predictive analytics, automation, market intelligence tools)
• Ability to translate data into strategic actions
• Excellent stakeholder management across geographies and seniority levels
• Fluent in English
