About this role

Job Description

Just imagine helping bring some of the most advanced electronics and mechatronics products in the toy industry from concept into reliable production. Then make it real.

About the role

As our Senior Process Engineer, you'll help shape and improve the manufacturing processes behind the electronics and mechatronics products supplied across the LEGO® Group.

You'll work with complex box-build solutions, including products such as the SMART Brick, supporting new product introductions, process verification, equipment definition, testing, and continuous improvement. Working close to production, you'll bridge theory and practice to ensure that processes, equipment, and materials operate within LEGO quality standards while contributing to future manufacturing capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Delivered mechanical, mechatronic, or electrical engineering solutions supported by a BSc degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Applied 5+ years of engineering experience within manufacturing, production, or industrial environments
  • Built experience working with assembly processes and production equipment
  • Led investigations, testing, validation, or process verification activities to improve manufacturing performance
  • Managed engineering changes, equipment improvements, or process optimization initiatives with measurable outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Applied Six Sigma methods to manufacturing or quality improvement initiatives
  • Developed solutions using design-for-manufacturability principles

What you'll build

  • Support the standardisation and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment
  • Provide technical guidance for equipment development, design, and construction with external suppliers
  • Develop and maintain digital engineering tools that strengthen manufacturing capabilities
  • Verify, validate, and test process and equipment performance
  • Investigate process variables and evaluate their impact on manufacturing outcomes
  • Assess auxiliary equipment, tooling, and process parameters to ensure consistent product quality
  • Learn existing processes and gradually take ownership of engineering projects and improvement initiatives
  • Build engineering cases, present findings, and influence stakeholders through evidence-based recommendations

If you've worked in a role where you improved a manufacturing process, qualified equipment, or implemented a process change with measurable impact, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to connect a detailed engineering task to a broader manufacturing process and clearly demonstrate the value of your contribution.

Life on the team

You'll join the Technology Management team within Global Electronics Process Engineering. We're a global team with colleagues based in Budapest, Billund, and Singapore, working together through Microsoft Teams and a hybrid rhythm of three office days and two remote days each week. Our purpose is to develop and support the electronics and mechatronics capabilities that enable products across the LEGO Group. You'll thrive if you're comfortable working through uncertainty, learning new processes, collaborating across cultures, communicating clearly, and building strong relationships with colleagues around the world.

This role will be either based in Budapest, Hungary or Billund, Denmark.

What success looks like

Success means developing a strong understanding of the critical process parameters that drive manufacturing performance and using that knowledge to identify meaningful improvements. You'll contribute to new product introduction projects, support evolving manufacturing capabilities, and work closely with colleagues across Design and Product Development, Production, and EMS suppliers. Over time, you'll take ownership of increasingly complex equipment and process challenges while helping the team deliver scalable and reliable solutions for future products

Please note that relocation support is not offered for this role.
