About the Role

The Marketing Analytics practice within Accenture's Applied Intelligence group helps retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) clients improve pricing, promotion, and assortment decisions using data and analytics. This role leads client engagements focused on data-driven merchandizing, working with clients to design and deploy pricing and promotion optimization capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Data Management

• Lead the end-to-end phases of client projects, from data requirements definition to solution delivery.

• Define data requirements for data-driven merchandizing engagements.

• Oversee data cleaning, aggregation, analysis, interpretation, and quality checks.

• Develop and manage data pipelines and data layers within the Snowflake environment.

• Document data models, architecture, and maintenance processes for AI capability migrations across cloud platforms.

Analytics & Modeling

• Set up pricing, promotion, and assortment optimization capabilities for retail and CPG clients.

• Build price and discount elasticity models and apply non-linear optimization techniques.

• Apply statistical time-series models and store clustering algorithms to support merchandizing analytics.

• Apply state-space modeling and mixed-effect regression techniques.

• Develop AI/ML models using the Azure ML technology stack.

• Apply design patterns for scalable machine learning architectures and use cloud tools to deploy, pipeline, and maintain elasticity models in production.

Client & Team Management

• Manage client relationships and expectations, communicating insights and recommendations.

• Create data-driven insights presentations and client-ready deliverables.

• Manage and mentor a team of 10–15 analytics professionals.

• Plan and manage large-scale projects, including risk assessment, task prioritization, and progress tracking and reporting.

• Contribute to capability building and thought leadership within the practice.


Qualifications

Required

• 12+ years of professional experience in consulting or analytics roles, including hands-on experience in data-driven merchandizing (pricing, promotion, and assortment optimization) for retail or CPG clients.

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; Master's degree, M.Phil., or Ph.D. in a related field also accepted. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, R, and Python.

• Working experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Demonstrated experience building price/discount elasticity models and applying non-linear optimization techniques.

• Demonstrated experience with state-space modeling and mixed-effect modeling techniques and their application to industry data.

• Experience leading AI capability migrations between cloud platforms, including documentation of data models, architecture, and maintenance processes.

• Experience in econometric/statistical modeling methods, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, multivariate statistical analysis, time-series techniques, and optimization techniques, using R, Python, SQL, or PySpark.

• Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of 10–15 professionals.

• Experience managing client relationships and large-scale project planning, including risk assessment.

Preferred

• Experience developing AI/ML models using the Azure ML technology stack.

• Experience managing data within a Snowflake environment.

• Familiarity with statistical time-series models and store clustering algorithms.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
