Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Software Development Manager to join our ever-evolving Engineering Platform – Global API team and help lead the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing API-driven global payment solutions. 

What you’ll own  

We are looking for a technically grounded Software Development Manager to lead delivery for modern backend and API-driven solutions across our global payment processing platforms. 

In this role, you will combine API domain expertise, strong people management, delivery ownership, and Agile execution. You will manage and develop engineering talent, partner with product and architecture teams, drive Scrum ceremonies and delivery planning, and ensure teams follow strong engineering practices across CI/CD, testing, security, reliability, and operational excellence. 

What you’ll bring 

• Years of Experience: 12+ years of professional technology experience, including strong exposure to backend/API platforms and at least 3+ years managing engineering teams, delivery ownership, or people leadership responsibilities. 

• People Management: Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop engineers; manage performance, priorities, and career growth; build accountability; and create a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture. 

• API and Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of API design, RESTful services, microservices, integration patterns, API gateways, authentication, authorization, security policies, and scalable backend platform delivery. 

• CI/CD and Engineering Practices: Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, release management, code quality controls, secure development practices, observability, production support, and continuous improvement across engineering teams. 

• Scrum and Delivery Management: Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, dependency management, and predictable delivery tracking. 

• Stakeholder Communication and Ownership: Excellent communication skills with the ability to align engineering, product, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders on priorities, risks, trade-offs, timelines, and delivery outcomes. 

It’s a bonus if you have 

• Payments or Fintech Domain: Experience working in payments, banking, fintech, or other high-volume transaction processing environments, with exposure to security, compliance, and operational resilience expectations. 

• Apigee and API Management Platforms: Hands-on experience with Apigee Edge, Apigee X, or similar API management platforms, including API proxy design, policies, traffic management, security, monitoring, and operational support, along with exposure to cloud-native application delivery. 

• Leadership and Team Development: Experience hiring, onboarding, mentoring, succession planning, improving team operating models, and helping teams adopt modern Agile and DevOps practices.
