The Senior Lead Planner is responsible for executing and continuously improving materials and production planning processes that support strong customer on-time delivery and healthy inventory performance. This role owns planning-related master data in SAP, strengthens replenishment processes, and supports targeted inventory reduction initiatives using data-driven methods while protecting service, continuity and operational stability.

 

This position reports to the Director, Sourcing and will work closely with the Production Planning team and  Manufacturing and Operations, located in Mount Waverley, Victoria. This is an on-site role.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
•    Execute integrated materials and production planning across materials planning, production planning and inventory management to support customer demand and factory performance.
•    Translate demand signals into practical material and production plans that balance customer service, capacity, lead times and inventory objectives.
•    Identify risks to supply continuity or production attainment early and work with operations, procurement, customer operations and supply chain stakeholders to protect delivery performance.
•    Maintain healthy inventory performance by balancing raw material, work-in-progress and finished goods inventory against demand patterns, lead times, service requirements and business targets.
•    Own the accuracy, integrity and governance of planning-related master data in SAP, including material master data, MRP views, lead times, safety stock, lot sizes, reorder points and scheduling parameters.
•    Simplify replenishment processes and supply chain arrangements by improving planning parameters, reorder logic, supplier lead times, replenishment models and exception management.
•    Support targeted inventory reduction and continuous improvement initiatives using ABC and Pareto analysis, while sharing planning subject matter expertise with cross-functional stakeholders.


The essential requirements of the job include:
•    Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, business, industrial engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
•    Multiple years of experience in materials planning, production planning, supply planning or integrated factory planning within a manufacturing environment.
•    Strong hands-on SAP enterprise resource planning capability, including SAP MM and PP modules, planning master data, material requirements planning views and planning parameter management.
•    Demonstrated experience improving customer delivery performance, inventory performance or working capital outcomes through planning process improvements.
•    Strong analytical capability using enterprise resource planning data, Advanced Excel and inventory segmentation methods such as ABC analysis, Pareto analysis or service-risk-based planning.


It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
•    APICS, CPIM, CSCP or equivalent supply chain qualification.
•    SAP S/4HANA, SAP Integrated Business Planning or SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization exposure.
•    Planning master data governance, replenishment simplification or inventory optimization initiatives in a complex manufacturing or supply chain environment.
