About this role
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Build reusable, testable, and maintainable application components.
- Apply MVVM or MVI architectural patterns.
- Integrate RESTful APIs using Retrofit.
- Work with Android SDK components and Jetpack libraries.
- Follow SOLID principles, clean-code practices, and established design patterns.
- Write unit and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and application releases.
- Investigate and resolve performance issues, crashes, and defects.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Approximately 3+ years of Android development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Java, Android SDK.
- Strong understanding of the Android lifecycle, including activities, fragments, Compose lifecycle, and lifecycle-aware components.
- Practical experience with MVVM or MVI.
- Experience integrating APIs using Retrofit.
- Strong knowledge of caching mechanism using Room, shared preferences and files.
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines and Flow for handling asynchronous operations and reactive state management.
- Understanding of software architecture, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
- Familiarity with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD processes.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience integrating Firebase services, particularly Firebase Crashlytics, to monitor, investigate, and resolve application crashes.
- Knowledge of mobile application security best practices, including secure data storage (e.g., Encrypted Shared Preferences, Android Keystore), secure network communication (HTTPS/TLS, certificate pinning), and protection against common vulnerabilities.
