M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Designer to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in Scottsdale, AZ. An active Secret clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic equipment and systems, including radar detection/communications equipment and systems, circuitry components, computers, and Digital Signal Processing equipment.
- Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance the client's business performance.
- Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet the client's changing business needs.
- Support and engage in programs, projects, and practices behind the client's culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures.
- Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure the client's services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and/or direction to lower-level designers.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics field and 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
- Experience with schematic capture
- Extensive experience designing multi-layer Printer Circuit Boards with controlled impedance layers and blind micro-vias.
- Able to analyze and test for signal integrity, crosstalk, etc.
- Familiar with several families of microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and System-on-Chips.
- Demonstrate initiative on assignments; exercise strong independent judgment.
- Able to technically lead/mentor less senior engineers.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with Mentor design tools.
- High Reliability or Space experience.
- Experience with Worst Case Analysis, Stress Analysis.
