Job Summary

Job Description

1. Requires strong knowledge of CFD, Heat Transfer and Pre & Post processing of CFD Tasks.  
2. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
3. Work on simulation problems independently with minimal guidance.
4. Must act as a resource for colleagues.
5. Should have in-depth knowledge on fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
6. Expert knowledge on Modelling tools such as UG NX, Autodesk Inventor etc. for CAD model simplifications and CFD model preparations.
7. Must have knowledge on commercially available CFD analysis tools such as SpaceClaim, Ansys Mesher, Ansys Fluent, CFD-ACE+ module.
8. Exposure to Chemical reactions/Plasma simulations is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Works with teams in developing CFD/Thermal models to analyze the problems related to Flow and Thermal
2. Interpret analysis results with respect to results obtained by lab testing procedures, converting these results into practical design suggestions.
3. Works on difficult CAE problems to assist product development.
4. Works on identifying product design and development problems where CAE analysis can accelerate development.
5. Proactively validates/correlates results with real world data and makes model improvements as deemed necessary.
6. Very good understanding of business unit processes and hardware; good knowledge of data analysis techniques to summarize CAE data.
7. Generates high-level engineering test reports and presents CAE results/conclusions to the design/process engineering community.

Skill Requirements

• Must have in-depth knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer
• Expert user of commercially available CFD analysis tools such as CFD-ACE+, Ansys Fluent/CFX/Ansys Mechanical and COMSOL
• Expert in using meshing software like Ansys WB
• Preferable to have knowledge of Plasma related simulations
• Strong skills in problem solving, teamwork and quality  
• Must be a good communicator, enthusiastic, cooperative and must be a team player

Academic Qualifications

• B.E/ B. Tech, MS/M.Tech in Mechanical - Thermal and Fluids Engineering or MS/M.Tech in Chemical engineering with 10 to 12 years of experience in Flow/Thermal and Chemical Engineering domains.
