Role Summary
As a Project Controller, you will play a key role in supporting and steering a portfolio of both product development projects and customer-related business projects. Acting as a finance business partner and trusted advisor to project managers and management teams, you will ensure transparency, financial control, and informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
The department is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio ranging from product and service development initiatives to complex customer projects. In this dynamic environment, you will contribute to driving profitability, resource efficiency, and successful project execution while balancing technical, commercial, and financial perspectives.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain a broad understanding of project-driven business operations and collaborate closely with stakeholders across engineering, sales, purchasing, production, and finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and follow-up for a portfolio of product development and customer projects.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and proactively support corrective actions.
- Analyze project profitability, business cases, and investment proposals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project managers and department leadership with financial insights and performance analyses.
- Develop and maintain project financial reporting, including budget tracking, resource utilization, and cost development.
- Prepare decision material and presentations for management teams and governance forums.
- Ensure financial transparency and support fact-based decision-making regarding project priorities and investments.
- Perform ad hoc analyses related to project performance, portfolio management, and business development initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement of project controlling processes, tools, and reporting methods.
- Success in this role requires close collaboration with stakeholders across multiple functions and the ability to communicate financial information in a clear and business-oriented manner.
