About this role

Job Summary

Role Purpose

The SAP FICO Consultant-L2 is responsible for providing day-to-day functional support for SAP Finance and Controlling processes within the Reckitt AMS environment. The role supports incident resolution, service requests, minor enhancements, routine maintenance activities, testing, and business user support across Finance operations.

The consultant works under the guidance of the SAP FICO L3 Lead and serves as the primary operational support resource for finance-related issues, ensuring service stability, SLA compliance, and a positive user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Incident & Service Request Management

  • Provide L2 support for SAP FICO-related incidents and service requests.
  • Perform initial analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of functional issues.
  • Escalate complex problems to L3 consultants when required.
  • Ensure timely updates and communication within the ITSM tool.
  • Monitor ticket queues and maintain SLA compliance.

SAP Finance & Controlling Support

Support business processes across:

Financial Accounting (FI)

  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting (AA)
  • Bank Accounting
  • Financial Closing Activities

Controlling (CO)

  • Cost Center Accounting
  • Profit Center Accounting
  • Internal Orders
  • Cost Allocations
  • Product Costing Support
  • Management Reporting Support

Business User Support

  • Provide functional guidance to business users.
  • Assist users in resolving transaction and process-related issues.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial activities.
  • Participate in business process reviews and service improvement initiatives.

Change & Testing Support

  • Support implementation of approved changes and minor enhancements.
  • Prepare and execute test scripts.
  • Participate in SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
  • Validate production deployments and perform post-implementation checks.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Maintain knowledge articles and support documentation.
  • Update SOPs, runbooks, and known error records.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes.
  • Document resolutions and reusable solutions for recurring issues.

Other Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3 to 6 years of SAP FICO support experience.
  • Experience in Application Managed Services (AMS) or production support environments.
  • Understanding of core SAP FI and CO processes.
  • Exposure to ticket management and ITIL processes.
  • SAP FICO certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related discipline.
