Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal controls within a fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with CBN regulations, AML/CFT/CPF, KYC, NDPA, and payment industry requirements.
- Conduct compliance reviews, risk assessments, and control testing.
- Develop and review compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Monitor and investigate compliance breaches and regulatory incidents.
- Support regulatory reporting, audits, inspections, and engagements with regulators.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise management on their impact.
- Work with Risk, Internal Audit, IT, Information Security, Finance, and Legal teams on compliance matters.
- Monitor AML/KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and customer due diligence processes.
- Track compliance findings and ensure timely remediation.
- Provide compliance guidance and training to employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 7+ years' experience in compliance, risk, audit, AML, banking, fintech, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial services and fintech regulatory requirements.
- Experience in AML/CFT, KYC, regulatory risk, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, communication, investigation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CAMS, ICA, CISA, CRISC, or CFE will be an advantage.
