Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
The Senior Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for supporting the banking and cash management needs of US Corporate Services clients. This role will work closely with clients, banks, accounting teams, and internal directors to facilitate the opening and maintenance of client bank accounts, process wires and other payments, and ensure client cash management requirements are handled accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of service.
The ideal candidate will have strong banking and cash management experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client relationships and time-sensitive transactions in a professional services environment.
Some of the things that you will be doing:
- Coordinate and manage the opening, onboarding, and maintenance of bank accounts on behalf of clients.
- Work directly with clients and financial institutions to obtain required documentation, complete account-opening requirements, and resolve banking-related matters.
- Prepare, review, and process domestic and international wires, ACH payments, and other client payment requests in accordance with established procedures and authorization requirements.
- Coordinate payment activity with accounting teams to ensure sufficient cash, accurate payment information, and proper accounting treatment.
- Review and validate payment instructions and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients regarding banking, payment processing, and cash management matters.
- Work closely with Corporate Services Directors and accounting professionals to understand and meet client needs and service expectations.
- Monitor outstanding banking requests and proactively follow up with clients, banks, and internal teams to ensure timely completion.
- Assist with bank account changes, authorized signatory updates, online banking access, and other ongoing account administration.
- Maintain accurate records of bank accounts, payment activity, client instructions, and supporting documentation.
- Escalate unusual, urgent, or complex banking and payment matters to appropriate management.
- Identify opportunities to improve cash management processes, controls, and client service.
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with company policies, client agreements, banking requirements, and applicable internal controls.
- Support other cash management and Corporate Services initiatives as needed.
- Preparation and filing of Forms 1096/1099
What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5+ years of experience in cash management, banking operations, treasury, corporate services, accounting operations, or a related field.
- Experience processing wires, ACH payments, and other banking transactions.
- Experience working directly with banks and financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of bank account opening and maintenance processes.
- Experience working with corporate or institutional clients preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with confidential financial information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with accounting, client service, and management teams.
