We are looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance
team!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining automated test
solutions, creating comprehensive test cases, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our
applications.
The role combines test analysis, test design, and hands-on automation development, with a strong focus on Playwright-based test automation. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, manual testers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to support fast and reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements; create, review, and maintain detailed test cases and test scenarios; identify coverage gaps and test data needs.
- Develop, maintain, and improve Playwright-based UI and API automation using TypeScript/JavaScript, including regression, smoke, and end-to end tests.
- Execute automated and manual tests, investigate and document defects, validate fixes, and report test results.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support release validation, deployments, troubleshooting, and automation code reviews.
- Prepare and maintain test datasets, ensuring reliable and repeatable test execution.
- Participate in requirement refinement and sprint planning, and collaborate closely with developers and other stakeholders.
- Maintain testing documentation, follow coding standards and QA best practices, and share knowledge or mentor junior colleagues when needed.
Requirements
Technical Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in software testing
- At least 2 years of experience in test automation
- Hands-on experience with Playwright
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test design techniques
- Experience creating and maintaining automated test frameworks
- Knowledge of API testing and REST services
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Xray,
- Zephyr, TestRail)
- Fluent Hungarian knowledge and English since you will work in an international team with daily English communication.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Proactive attitude toward improving processes and automation coverage.
Nice to have
- Experience with SQL and database validation.
- Experience with performance or security testing.
- Knowledge of Docker or containerized test environments.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
