  • Support cross-territory contracting matters by working with PwC network firms, regional legal teams and internal stakeholders to align contracting positions, manage legal risk and facilitate effective delivery across jurisdictions.

Industrial Relations and employment advisory

  • Provide legal and strategic support on Industrial Relations and employment-related matters, including employee relations issues, disciplinary proceedings, performance management concerns, workplace investigations, grievance handling, separation and restructuring matters, and employment risk assessments.

  • Advise internal stakeholders on practical and legally sound approaches to managing workforce matters, supporting alignment with applicable employment laws, internal policies and PwC’s risk management expectations.

PwC Network Standards compliance management

  • Conduct compliance assessments, testing and reporting in relation to PwC Network Standards and key legal and regulatory areas, including anti-corruption, antitrust, insider trading, data protection and data privacy.

Other

  • Prepare and support on training by OGC on important/new legislations, contracts, policies.

  • Collaborate with OGC, R&Q and other Firm stakeholders on legal and regulatory projects, internal policy initiatives, risk management workstreams and process improvements.

  • Prepare and support OGC-led training and awareness sessions on important legal developments, new legislation, contracts, policies and risk management topics.

  • Carry out a broad range of general OGC responsibilities, including legal research, document review, policy interpretation, stakeholder consultations, legal updates, risk assessments and support on matters involving contracts, compliance, governance, data protection, employment, regulatory and operational legal issues.

  • Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Malaysia General Counsel.

What we are looking for:

  • A background in employment law and Industrial Relations, with practical experience advising on employee relations, disciplinary matters, workplace investigations and related advisory matters.

  • Ideally, a practising Industrial Relations lawyer with approximately 4–5 years’ post-qualification or relevant legal experience who is interested in transitioning into an in-house legal role.

  • Comfortable supporting contracting and legal advisory matters across territories, including working with regional stakeholders and adapting contracting positions to local legal and business requirements.
