POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Associate – Implementation Specialist provides technical leadership and hands-on expertise across client implementations of apex portal™ and smartVM™. The role owns the technical success of an implementation end to end — from requirement discovery and solution design through ERP integration, data mapping, testing and go-live.

The successful candidate combines strong technical depth in SaaS platforms, APIs, ETL and databases with the consulting presence to build trusted client relationships. Practical, hands-on experience applying AI tools within a delivery or implementation environment is mandatory for this role. This is also a mentoring role: you will guide junior team members and act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Implementation & Delivery

▪      Identify critical implementation requirements and build an implementation plan that delivers project milestones on time and to scope.

▪      Present technical overviews of apexportal and associated technical requirements to clients during implementation and upgrade planning.

▪      Manage the setup and configuration of the technical environment for hosted clients.

▪      Take end-to-end ownership of release and delivery activities, including cutover and post go-live stabilization.

Solution Design & Integration

▪      Design and develop workflows for apexportal functionality and present them to key stakeholders for sign-off.

▪      Assist clients in designing and building interfaces between their ERP systems and apexportal, and lead the testing of those integrations, including data reconciliation between the client ERP and apexportal.

▪      Develop and unit test baseline modules of the apexportal Solutions product.

▪      Apply AI tools and automation to accelerate delivery tasks such as data mapping, configuration, testing, documentation and issue diagnosis.

Technical Leadership & Support

▪      Serve as Subject Matter Expert and technical lead for client configurations and installations of apexportal and smartVM.

▪      Act as the escalation point for internal and external deployments, troubleshooting and diagnosing the root cause of software issues.

▪      Provide guidance, training and knowledge transfer to junior team members across both products.

▪      Partner with the Client Value and Audit teams to resolve client issues and support ongoing accounts.

Process Improvement & Reporting

▪      Design, implement and enhance high-impact business process improvement initiatives for client software implementations.

▪      Create and maintain mockups, BRDs, FRDs and wireframes using tools such as Visio, Excel, Microsoft Project, Adobe and Snagit.

▪      Provide recommendations to leadership on a regular and ad-hoc basis and prepare periodic status reporting for management.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Candidates must demonstrate all of the following:

▪      AI experience — hands-on experience applying AI tools and technologies (for example AI-assisted development, automation, document or data extraction, or AI-supported analysis) to real delivery work. Candidates should be able to describe specific use cases and the outcome achieved.

▪      Implementation / ERP background — 4+ years in an implementation, technical consulting or professional services role, including exposure to ERP systems and their data structures.

▪      SaaS product understanding — solid understanding of SaaS architecture, multi-tenant delivery models, configuration-led implementations and the release cycles they operate on.

▪      APIs, ETL & data warehousing — working knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, ETL mapping and table design, and core data warehouse concepts.

▪      Database skills — hands-on experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL or an equivalent relational database, including the ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries, stored procedures, views, indexes and jobs (2+ years).

▪      Communication — excellent written and verbal communication, with the confidence to present technical concepts to non-technical client stakeholders and executives.

▪      Delivery methodology — 4+ years delivering within Agile / Scrum SDLC environments.

Additional Technical Skills

▪      Experience with Supply Chain or Procure-to-Pay technology implementations.

▪      Working knowledge of integration technologies including SSO, SAML, SSL, web services, REST and SOAP; ServiceNow integration experience is an advantage.

▪      Experience with version control tools such as Git, SVN, CVS or TFS.

▪      Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView or SSRS.

▪      Comfortable working with the command line and standard system commands.

Preferred / Good to Have

▪      Hands-on experience with Workday or Oracle.

▪      Consulting experience across multiple ERPs — specifically MDM, Vendor Master and P2P (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft and similar).

▪      Exposure to Accounts Payable modules within ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle or J.D. Edwards.

▪      Knowledge of report migration, subscriptions and data extraction from ERP systems.

▪      Experience defining application and system configuration standards with cross-functional teams and business units.
