About this role

Description

This position is considered remote and can sit anywhere within the HNB footprint.

Summary:

Responsible for performing quality control reviews of completed transactions, cases, accounts, loans, and other work items within programs supported by the QA/QC Center of Excellence (COE). Reviews work to ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Documents findings, communicates exceptions, and supports reporting activities. Works under general supervision while developing quality control knowledge and maintaining established productivity and quality expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control reviews of completed work items, transactions, loans, accounts, and related activities using established procedures and review guidelines.

  • Verify the accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of documentation, approvals, and supporting information.

  • Identify errors, missing documentation, and procedural exceptions and document findings accurately.

  • Escalate questions, exceptions, and potential issues to management or senior team members as appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate QC review documentation and supporting records in accordance with department procedures.

  • Assist with the preparation of quality control reports, findings summaries, and other department reporting.

  • Participate in calibration sessions, team meetings, and training activities to maintain consistency and quality standards.

  • Support corrective action and remediation efforts by providing information related to identified findings.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness and share suggestions with management.

  • Manage assigned review inventories to ensure reviews are completed within established deadlines.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and quality standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5 years experience in the field of Security, Investigations, or Compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Basic analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to learn and apply procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to work independently on routine assignments and collaborate effectively with team members.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
