About this role
Security Guard
Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the selected candidate will have the responsibility to ensure the security of the building, its occupants and contents.
What you will be doing:
- Keep a permanent watch on the building entrances with a view to assisting people or preventing problems as the case may be
- Prevent access to lifts/staircases to unauthorized visitors outside visiting hours
- Provide assistance to patients requiring wheelchairs at the entrance
- Keep an eye on Cashiers’ and Secretaries’ counters on the ground floor where money is being handled and may attract potential robbers
- Provide assistance to nursing staff when requested by authorized personnel
- Ensure daily check and the proper operation of lifts, security grilles, night lights and door locks
- Note any problem or unusual event in the Occurrence Book (giving precise details such as time of occurrence and name/s of person/s involved) and report to the appropriate people
What are we looking for?
- School Certificate.
- Should have at least 1-year experience in similar post.
- Good communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
