SUMMARY:
Position: Secretary (Central Office)
Description: Provides administrative/clerical support for Central Office in the areas of answering phones, correspondence, public relations, information dissemination, and in support of the Communications & Outreach Department

Base Pay: $20.42 per hour
- Degree Stipend:
- Associate Degree or 60+ College Credit Hours: +$1/hour
- Bachelor’s Degree: +$2/hour
- Master’s Degree: +$3/hour
- Experience Stipend: +$0.50/hour for each year of full-time work experience at a K–12 school other than Frontier Schools (up to 3 years maximum)

QUALIFICATIONS:
● High School Diploma or G.E.D.
● Bilingual Spanish – reading and writing
● Minimum of 2 years of experience as a secretary is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Maintains confidentiality regarding staff and school-related issues. Communicates with other building administrators and staff per the Communications & Outreach Director's directive. Coordinates office operations. Resolves most questions and problems and refers the most complex issues to higher levels.
● Translates school-related documents as needed.
● Provides assistance to Central Office staff.
● Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy, productive, and smoothly run office.
● Uses effective, positive interpersonal communication skills.
● Performs other tasks as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
● Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district.
● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.
● Ability to organize and assist the Communications & Outreach Department with district-wide and campus events.
● Ability to use a computer, including software and databases used by the district, as well as a calculator, copy machine, and telephone.
● Ability to analyze data.
● Ability to use effective interview techniques, public speaking skills, and problem-solving skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
● Light work: may require occasional light lifting.
● Night and weekend activities may occasionally be required.
● Position is in an office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
● Moderate travel is required.
