Job Description

​​​​​​As a Room Attendant, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional stays by ensuring each guest room is presented with impeccable cleanliness, elegance, and attention to detail. You will take pride in preparing and maintaining our rooms to the highest luxury standards, creating a warm and welcoming environment where every guest feels truly cared for.

Your duties will inclue;

• Clean and service guestrooms to Fairmont standard, including floors, walls, furniture, and fixtures 
• Clean bathrooms and restock linen, amenities, and ice-buckets
• Strip and remake beds according to hotel standards
• Collect garbage and maintain trolleys, cubby holes, and corridors in clean and tidy condition
• Report any maintenance defects, guest comments, or complaints to the Supervisor
• Provide polite and courteous service to guests and staff at all times
• Respond promptly to guest requests and special room requirements, ensuring satisfaction and attention to detail
• Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and amenities, reporting low stock levels to management
• Follow all safety and security protocols, including proper handling of equipment and adherence to health and sanitation standards
• Inspect rooms upon completion to ensure all cleaning tasks meet Fairmont quality standards before guest occupancy
• Communicate effectively with housekeeping team members and other departments to coordinate room readiness and guest services.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar hospitality role is an asset.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, products, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, courteous, and guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions, hotel standards, and safety procedures.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of English; additional languages are an asset.
