Sanitizer (Filling and Transfer Equipment) - 2nd shift

Position Summary

The Sanitizer - Filling and Transfer Equipment is responsible for disassembling, sanitizing, and reassembling filling equipment, transfer lines, and pumps by following established SOPs and cGMPs. This includes effective sanitization of all external surfaces and interior spaces. This position will follow safety precautions to prevent product contamination and injuries to self or others.

Schedule

2nd shift Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 12:00 pm

Overtime may be required for this position

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Disassembles filling equipment for cleaning and sanitization and re-assembles once clean, sanitized, and has passed QC swab test.
• Maintains the P3 bulk storage area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Understands and utilizes Clean-in-Place systems (CIP) and understands the use of hazardous cleaners and sanitation chemicals while complying with the appropriate use of PPE.
• Follows established procedures for the disposal of product waste and adheres to workplace standards for cleanliness and organization during and after the cleaning of equipment.
• Assists in other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills Required

• Basic mechanical skills to assemble and disassemble production equipment.

Experience Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, squeeze, kneel, turn, crouch, stoop repeatedly.
• Physically able to lift 75 pounds and manipulate up to a 500-pound drum on a regular basis.
• Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, heavy machinery, fumes, or airborne particles, wet floor moving mechanical parts, electrical, chemicals and vibrations.
• Must be able to discern differences in colors and shades.
• Good eye/hand coordination. Ability to seize, hold, grasp, turn or overwise working with hand or hands.
